The SURFnet/Kennisnet Innovation Programme focuses on the following fields of interest:
- video services for educational use;
- the findability of digital learning materials, through new methods, such as tagging by users, assigning metadata and the use of social networks;
- Using virtual environments in educations, such as Second Life and Active Worlds
- Mobile learning, using pda, laptop or mobile phone in the curriculum
- Identity management in an educational setting
We also offer workshops to help professionals to implement innovative services in their day-to-day activities.
In order to make sure our activities are relevant schools and universities we work closely together with so called ‘broadband schools', schools that value the use of ICT in education and are ahead of their field in implementing the results of innovation.
